At Dastaan By Artisans, every creation is more than fabric and thread — it is a living testament to artmanship. Rooted in centuries of tradition, our artisans carry forward the Hunar (skill) and Parampara (lineage) of embroidery, weaving, and hand‑crafting that has defined Indian heritage.
We believe true artmanship is not just about technique — it is about soulful storytelling through craft. Each stitch, motif, and weave embodies the Virāsat (legacy) of generations, echoing the whispers of mothers and grandmothers who passed down their artistry by hand.
Our mission is to preserve this Dharohar (inheritance) while bringing it to the modern world with dignity and respect. By choosing Dastaan, you are not simply buying a garment — you are supporting authentic artisanship, sustaining livelihoods, and keeping alive the timeless tale of craftsmanship.

A single Dastaan article takes 25–30 days to come alive. Twelve different hands touch it. Thirty‑two traditional stitches — Phanda, Murri, Jaali, Keel, Tepchi, Bakhiya, Khatawa, Hool, Ghaspatti, Bijli, Kangan, Dhania‑patti — are names whispered by only a few hundred artisans left in the world.

Because we are not the heroes. They are.
Most brands hide their karigars. We put them first. Literally. Our name is Dastaan-By Artisans. 75+ Artisan Families from various parts of India work with us directly — no middlemen. 80% are Women who work from home, earning 3x the local wage, while managing their families. When you wear Dastaan, you don't just wear a dress. You carry someone's dua.
