At Dastaan By Artisans, every piece is carefully selected and crafted to celebrate the beauty of Indian artisanal traditions. We take great care in preparing and dispatching your order, and we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

We understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations. To make your shopping experience comfortable and transparent, we offer exchanges for eligible products under the following policy.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

In the unlikely event that you receive a product that is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

For such requests, please provide:

• Clear photographs of the product

• Photographs of the packaging and shipping label

• A brief description of the issue

• Your order number

Once the product is received by us, our team will inspect it and, where the claim is approved, arrange an exchange subject to product availability.

Refunds

Dastaan By Artisans primarily offers exchanges rather than refunds.

Where a refund is approved by our team, it will generally be issued as a credit note unless otherwise communicated to the customer.

How to Initiate an Exchange

To request an exchange:

1. Contact Us
Reach out to our customer care team within 48 hours of receiving your order with your order number and reason for the exchange.

2. Share Images
For damaged, defective or incorrect products, share clear photographs of the product and packaging.

3. Wait for Confirmation
Please wait for our team to confirm whether your exchange request has been accepted before sending the product back.

4. Pack the Product Carefully
Once approved, securely pack the product in its original packaging, wherever possible, along with the required order details.

5. Ship the Product
Send the parcel to the return address provided by our team.

Products must reach us within 7 days of delivery unless otherwise approved by Dastaan By Artisans.

Important Information

We cannot accept exchanges or returns where the product has been:

1. Worn or used

2. Washed or dry-cleaned

3. Altered, stitched, customised or modified according to customer specifications

4. Damaged after delivery due to improper handling

5. Returned without original tags or packaging

6. Marked, stained, perfumed or otherwise used

Special Note for Unstitched Fabrics

As many of our pieces are unstitched handcrafted fabrics, please inspect the fabric, embroidery and measurements carefully before cutting, stitching or altering the product.

Once an unstitched product has been cut, stitched, altered or customised, it will not be eligible for return or exchange.

Handcrafted Product Variation

Dastaan By Artisans celebrates the individuality of Indian craftsmanship. Slight variations in embroidery, thread placement, weave, texture, colour or finishing may occur because our products involve handcrafted techniques.

Such variations are not considered defects and are part of the charm and authenticity of an artisanal product.

Return Shipping

If the product is received damaged, defective or incorrect, Dastaan By Artisans will review the case and provide the appropriate resolution.

Processing Time

Once the returned product reaches us, it will undergo a quality inspection.

Approved exchanges are processed after successful inspection and are subject to availability. Processing and transit times may vary depending on the destination and product availability.
